I may have this wrong and will need to research the words. Like many other english to spanish translations sometimes word for word the translation doesn’t make sense. In this case a casa completa does mean a full house, it just doesn’t say what the house is full of. But that doesn’t matter since when spoken in a poker game everyone knows what it means.

However before we try to undertstand the meaning of poker hands in spanish we must first know what the various hands of poker period.

I’m not an expert at poker hands but do know some of the basics. Such as a pair – una pare, 2 pairs – dos pare, 3 of a kind tres de la mismas, and of course the full house , or casa completa.
